Leather alone opens Rayhaan Cordova, which is unusual and gives it a direct, dry, slightly smoky start. Cypress and patchouli make up the heart. Cypress is cool, resinous and green, and patchouli earthy and dark, so the leather is joined by a woody, forest-floor feel.
The base is made of woody notes, amber and vetiver. The woody notes stay broad and dry, amber adds warmth and a resinous glow, and vetiver brings a grassy, rooty dryness. Taken together, the scent is dry, earthy and woody, built around leather with amber to take the chill off.
Listed for men. The shop tags it for autumn and winter, and for daily, evening and special use. A leather-led, woody and earthy structure suits a wearer who likes a serious, dry scent without sweetness or fruit.
